well if your player is not playing them, it may be the player. Certain players will play only certain kinds of dvd mediums. Check the types of dvd's it can play, i.e. dvd -r, dvd+, dvd rw-, dvd rw+, vcd dvd r, dvd r-, dvd r+.etc.....

ive under stood your problem the dvds u are writing or not supported by the dvd players so u see that before writing dvds u convert them to dvd or avesq fomat to change the format u should get the software to convert u can get the software in google search by typing conveters

Your dvd player only play dvd format..Maybe you've into wrong format...maybe during burning process, you choose "data format" not "movie/dvd" format...

DVD players support data format disc but if the hv only jpg files r mp3....
if u want to write movies files choose the VIDEO DVD format....

and download trial software then install it
open Nero Start --------Choose NERO VISION------
Choose MAKE A DVD VIDEO------------then add ur movies files
(mpeg2,AVI, Mpeg1...)-------then click next and choose ur fav menus then next and choose ur recorder -------------then Burn.....
now play the files in DVD players ............

The anwer venice gave you is the best.You need encoder software.
