The least populated county in the United States is Loving County, Texas with a population of just 67 according to the 2000 census. A 2004 census estimate, however, places the population at only 52 which is consistant with the population growth trend since in 1990, the population was around 100.
Don't be surprised if this county becomes absorbed by a nearby county as the popuation approaces 0.

attempt San Bernadino county in California.it could desire to no longer be the least populated,yet for its length I wager that's.that's between the biggest counties in the U. S. with maximum of it collectively with "badlands" with little or no inhabitants,to boot as some extremely tall mountains to get you above the city lighting fixtures fixtures
