The Pittsburgh Steelers drafted the 6'4" 280 Dan Blocker with their 1st Round pick in 1951. Blocker never played in the NFL because he served in the Korean Conflict and caught the acting bug afterwards.

Remember Tony Mandarich? 1989 - second overall first round draft pick , first was Troy Aikman and third Barry Sanders. So like this: 1. Aikman 2. Mandarich 3. Barry Sanders He finally admitted very recently that he was a steroid user in college. He came to the Packers, first after holding out forever, played terribly on special teams (he was drafted as an offensive lineman) had a horrible attitude and stunk up the field. He was the biggest bust the Packers could have ever imagined. To think we could have had Barry Sanders. Can you imagine what that would have been like for the Packers once Farve arrived in '92?

I too am a Jets Fan as you know, and I agree with you...but then again MOST of our draft choices during the 70's, 80's and some of the 90's have been a waste. Sometimes I wonder if Al Davis was making our picks.....
