As a music aficionado, I wish to preserve the music I have purchased for the longest time possible. Thus, how should I buy music? iTunes or CDs? OR, with the exception of vinyl, is there another option available?

CDs are going to be obselote before Itunes will be. Anyways, keeping music on your hard drive in a digital format is the best as almost all computer manufacturers make their software and music reading software backwards compatible. Plus, it is always easier to covert the 0's and 1's of the binary than try and find a CD player once they become obselote.
