You r able to know an unknown number. Let's say that we do not know Carol's age. So, we make her age as x.
Since, we do not know, we put her age in terms of x. Which is
(x + 1)
I hate algebra actually. However, I have to understand the concepts of Algebra cos it will be coming for my exams.
My father says that algebra is interesting. Cos, he is a pro in Maths.

Unless you decide to go into a career that has a mathmatical focus, you won't ever use it! I didn't need it for the next 20 years after high school, despite having 3 careers in that time. It wasn't until I decided to go to college that i had a need for it!
