Well some might say hold off the bills buy some presents and do the bills next month. But what I will say is explain that money is tight, and if you can bake then bake them cakes and wrap it up nice. That what I am doing. See money is tight for me too. As for depression many people suffer especially during the holidays, just do the best you can. Oh if ya can not bake maybe you could ask a friend who can and you could help them out with something in return. Good Luck and Merry Christmas.

A lot of people get very depressed. You have to think about what you do have and how much more we have than a lot of other people have. Sometimes we can't afford it. The best thing you can do is spend time with them and do memorable things, like play games. Gifts don't show peoples love, its the time you spend with them building good memories. If you try to do your best and make everything out of it you can, it will be greater than any gifts you could buy them. Plan the whole day to do family activities and maybe you can try to make something for them, like a scrap book.

money is often a problem in the life of everyone dear
but just think of my story i am alone with two childrens because my husband abandon me with 2 childrens to marry a second wife and my new born who is now 8 month as not seen his father for the last 6 month !
so it is fact we are depress on chrismas time but money reason is not good reason. you can always make your own some nice gift for others even if you do not spend money people will always be touch by your nice words and thought for them

The movie, "Christmas Vacation" quote is priceless!
"It's the holidays and we're all in misery."
Find inovative ways to do the gift thing. Make coupons for backrubs, babysitting, and various other non=financially draining ideas.
You are not alone in your misery, trust me!

I spoke to a friend about this.
Her advice: Be creative and make things because Christmas isn't about all gift-giving.. it's about family and spending time together.

i can relate. i now only get gifts for the nieces and nephews under 18 years of age. the adults understand. i always tell them not to get me anything but they dont listen. good luck and cheer up. i do believe they will understand if you explain the problem. that is, if you decide to do what i have done.

Make gift cards; One free evening of babysitting. One free housecleaning. One free car detailing. One free garage organizing. A gift doesn't always have to be store-bought. Give of yourself.
