This is never mentioned out loud in the show, but it's just a little trivial fact that people yearn to know. Spongebob was born on July 14 of some year ending in "86", according to his driver's license, which you can see in the eps Sleepy Time and No Free Rides. Also, in the movie, we learn that Spongebob has earned 374 consecutive Employee of the Month awards, so judging by that, he has to have worked at the Krusty Krab for at least 31 years (this is assuming that a Bikini Bottom month, year, or other unit of time is the same as on good old dry land, that is, the Gregorian calendar). However, Stephen Hillenburg considers Spongebob and Patrick to be adult characters (for example, obviously they're old enough to live on their own), so they're actually ageless in the show. It is just a cartoon, after all. =)

If you are asking how old is the show, well it is about 9 years old. If you are talking about Spongebob, the movie classifies him as a kid, so my guess is about 12?
