I am in my early 30's have a 2 1/2 boy and a 9mth boy, I am desperate to have a daughter and would love to have twins of either gender.

but dont fertility drugs increase the likelihood of twins?

and...

if you were impregnated in vitro, dont they typically implant more than one fertilized egg?

apart from fertility drugs I dont really know anyway you could purposefully concieve twins - and even then you would have to prove there is a need for you to have them - and if you've got 2 children already this might be a bit difficult.

be happy with 1 child at a time - there are people out there that are struggling just to have 1 child - and you ahve 2 already

Of course fertility medication and IVF could increase your chance of twins, but they can be expensive so you would really have to be committed. You wouls also probably have to wait a while then say you have been trying unsucessfully for a year to get any reproductive endocrinologit to treat you.

There is no know way to purposefully have twins. As far as we know it all genetics. Do you have twin in you family, Does the father have twins in his family?. This is the really only way(without testing) they might be able to say, IF that!. No in-veto will produce twins, well it will fraternal twins (two born at the same time but not from the same egg) but not paternal.
