don't settle, if you weren't trained then its your works fault, don't be too picking jsut try and get your medical bills paid for at least, you might even want to get a second opinion from another lawyer to make sure though (sorry i dont' know how Georgia works) but i had a workers comp problem and i didnt' get half as much as i was entitled too so make sure u really look into it before you agree to anything...

Your fight is not in labor court. It is in the realm of workers' compensation. In Georgia you are limited to selecting one of the doctors listed on your employer's Posted Panel of Physicians if they have one. A good workers' comp lawyer can review the Posted Panel and determine if it is valid. Chiropractic treatment is not normally available on most Posted Panels and from my experience the State Board of Workers' Compensation normally prefers opinions from medical doctors. You can use the following link to a Workers' Comp Settlement Calculator to find out how much your case is worth:

Gather all the evidence to prove that your medical problem was a result of a work-related activity. Then file it in the Labor Court so that your employer will be forced to pay your actual medical fees and salaries while in the hospital.
