Vertigo is a type of dizziness felt as a shift in a person's relationship to the normal environment (a feeling that the room is spinning is common) or a sense of movement in space.
Although dizziness and vertigo are often used interchangeably, they are not the same thing. While all vertigo is dizziness, not all dizziness is vertigo. A patient may experience severe vertigo for days or weeks. Nausea, vomiting, and involuntary eye movements are common. The condition gradually improves, but symptoms can persist for weeks or months. Vertigo can be felt right from the young ages of 4 to 5 years. So a girl of 16 years experiencing vertigo is normal.

Treatment depends on the diagnosis. A complete medical evaluation is recommended for anyone with vertigo. This can reveal the true cause and suggest one or more solutions based upon treating the underlying disorder.-

Are you sure your experience vertigo..and not dizziness of another kind?

Either way no it isn't normal. There are some reasons why you may experience dizziness though....medications, dehydration, flu, and many other possibities. You could have something simple like an inner ear imbalance but you should seek a doctors care!
Feel better soon!

Hi Ana

Here is how to heal the issue.

Causes
Vertigo is caused by disturbances within the equilibratory system - ears, inner ear canals, the cranial nerves servicing the ears, the associated brain parts, and the eyes. The system is disturbed due to mild stress on the cranial nerves, middle ear infections, shingles, inflammation of the ear canals, obstruction in an ear tube, a tumor, or a nerve inflammation. All of these factors must be screened for and addressed before lasting relief from vertigo symptoms can be achieved.

Note: Vertigo can be an indication of a variety of other health problems. Prolonged or severe attacks of vertigo require immediate medical attention.

Natural Cures

Diet: Avoid caffeine, chocolates, salt, fried foods, nicotine, drugs, alcohol, and aspartame (NutraSweet(TM)).

Flower Essences: Rescue Remedy® is useful for calming accompanying stress. Scleranthus can also be helpful.

Herbs: Ginkgo biloba and ginger can be helpful. Take one 40 mg tablet of ginkgo or two capsules of ginger three times a day.

Homeopathy: Useful homeopathic remedies include Gelsemium, Phosphorus, Cocculus, Aconite, Nat. mur., Sulfur, Silicea, Lycopodium, and Belladonna.

Lifestyle: Stay still during vertigo attacks and avoid rapid body movements, especially of the head. Be sure to reduce stress, and get adequate sleep.

Nutritional Supplementation: Recommended nutrients include Vitamin B complex, vitamin B3 (niacin), vitamin B6, vitamin C plus bioflavonoids and rutin, vitamin E, calcium, choline, and adrenal glandulars.

Alternative Professional Care
If your symptoms persist despite the above measures, seek the help of a qualified health professional. The following professional care therapies have all been shown to be useful for treating vertigo: Acupressure, Acupuncture, Ayurveda, Bodywork, Chiropractic, Craniosacral Therapy, Environmental Medicine, Hypnotherapy, Magnetic Field Therapy, Naturopathic Medicine, Osteopathy, Qigong, Reflexology, and Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Best of health to you

This is very normal. The lining of the uterus sheds, sometimes, large clots will come out. Sometimes, it has to do with our hormones, and, believe it or not, which side you period is coming from..we have left and right sided periods. Ever notice that sometimes you get that sharp pain on one or the other side? Well, that is the egg dropping from that side. Clots are completely normal. Being anemic, you need to be careful about your iron, and take supplements. If you notice you are having heavier than normal periods, call your gyno and ask to be seen. You can't afford to loose to much blood. While this is old blood..you still cannot take the chance over bleeding to much, which can exasperate your anemia.

It's not particularly unusual for anyone to experience a sensation of vertigo from time to time. Without more information about your particular circumstances, it's pretty much impossible to say anything more.
