Life – it has a meaning and loving purpose - you just have to find your purpose and live it.

I believe every person is here for a definite purpose. Each person is special and valuable; that refers to me, you, your family, friends, in fact everybody! There is a loving plan for each of our lives here on earth and there is no such thing as coincidence. I don't believe that anything in life happens by chance and that every aspect of our lives points to something deeper.

You need to decide now to live for God rather than for yourself. You spend your life on Earth preparing yourself (as best you can) for death. I don't see death as a scary, negative experience, but birth into a bliss filled eternal life with God. I believe that this is something you have to consciously choose or not during your life on earth.

The meaning of life is for us to discover that we are true children of an infinitely loving and merciful God, to find out what our responsibilities are to our Creator, and to fulfill those responsibilities. Each of us is called to affirm, accept and develop the talents God has given us. -

well, it depends on what angle or perspective you look at it. Its pretty complex as u start to view it from multiple dimensions. From each point, u see a different picture.

To a biologist, life would mean something like creation of a new organism from existing organisms in the hope that it would survive the odds of life and be able to sustain its species.

To a believer, it would mean following the Creator's commandments and rest of the things are for him to do.

Likewise, there would be lot more viewpoints...

To a naive philosopher like me, its a vast subject which could take years to understand and by the time u understand it, it would be almost out ur bonds.

Life is what passes between first and last breaths. However, life is defined as below:-
Life is the characteristic state of organisms and individual cells. This is how they thrive. Properties common to the known organisms found on Earth (plants, animals, fungi, protists, archaea and bacteria) are that they are carbon-and-water-based, are cellular with complex organization, undergo metabolism, possess a capacity to grow, respond to stimuli, reproduce and, through natural selection, adapt in succeeding generations.

Hope you would not mind if I coin my own definition.

Life is when matter and energy get infested with the virus called self that controls and drives them fairly whimsically, resulting in unpredictable inconsistencies in the otherwise highly orderly universe. It has the unique capability to proliferate as well as secure itself.

well..every human being has his/her own definitions of life..some would say that life is like a wind..or a flowing water..or a wheel..or a poem...i believe that we cant just define life..we can't just state it in just a word or a single sentence...but for me...life is like visiting yahoo answers....there are hundreds of questions..but there are also hundreds of answers.. some of them seems to be the best answer and some seems senseless..there are a lot of options..so its not that easy for us to choose the best..we can also learn a lot of lessons here at YA..
just like life??right?
we are living without knowing the why and the wherefore of things..but the people around us "can" answer those "whys" of our life..and as we go on with our life..we've got to learn a lot of things..we learn to love..to hate..to know..to understand..etc..

It means different thing to individuals.

I always wish for Health, Wisdom, Happiness and Wealth.

If you have wisdom then other three are achievable but since I am wishing there is no harm in wishing for all four.
