life as such and good for them, but sometimes I wonder if it's a cover up for something else. It's like it's unnatural; like everything's all sweet, and light and everything's glossed over. I just know such a person where everything's fine and never gets angry or shows their feelings of sadness - ever. I may be wrong, but is being sugary a cover up?

I would call it naivety. Sorry if that sounds harsh, but it's true.

Either that, or they are one of these people who have been very spoilt and always got what they wanted in life.

I used have that sugary flowery attitude actually It's the best I had a co-worker come up to me and asked me how could I really be this happy so happy all the time. She told me that one day I would just explode. this could only happen if I was holding bad feelings in and this was not the case. Nobody could get on my nerves I prided myself at get along with the person that nobody else could get along with.and I used to have a game I loved to play with that customer that came with a growl, couldn't have a reason to growl at me.
I'm older and not so innocent and somehow have lost that sugary flowery me. Its the path i have taken in life that has watered this down and the people i am have surrounded myself with just can't understand that kind of person, that kind of person is not appreciated.Today I think I am very different at first glance and only special people see that true me.
About that sugary flowery person, if you are in love with life and all it brings good and bad, you have to have both. you understand. as long as you are doing things to move forward in life and this take a positive effort everyday and you have faith in that effort that good will come from that effort then all the trials and tribulations just become part of the path and trust in your efforts and in that trust is the greatest strength.along with being humble = sugary flowery

My feeling on your question is, life is what you make of it. George Harrison said," If you don't know where your going, any road will take you there".

If we choose the right road or path to take we can possibly end up in paradise. With out a doubt we all have our ups and downs. My philosophy is, you do what you have to do. You do it to the best of your ability. Be all that you can be. You must do this for your own satisfaction. Be true to your self. Act in a manner that you can respect your self. Be honest, kind and care. You will then feel sugary and flowery about your own existence. Nothing you can do about any one else.

I can attest to all of the above. I love to wake up each morning and say I love life. I want to add that I have lived and learned by my mistakes. And I forgive my self and work on improving my self for my own self satisfaction. What you see is what you get. I like myself.

If what you do, is to please or make a false impression to those around you, you wont find happiness.

i don't think it is a coverup , i am always happy atleast 95% times ,not bcoz i get everything i want but only bcoz i think different than most of my friends let me give you an example, when my exam goes bad i simply take it lightlty and make sure i study good next time but some others just stick to it and fell its the end of the world, when you face a problem ,simply think would it have affect you after 5 yrs or would it make a big affect when you look at your life in long horizon and you'll find that ther's no problem worth worrying about

Some people seem to ge born without the "mean" gene that the rest of us have.To them everything in life is suger coated. They can even mange to find sweetness in death.
I would like to be jealous of them.In reality I think it is sad.
I enjoy my many moods and although I am mostly an "up' person I can have a good weep and a rant and rage with the best of them

They must have read too many self-help books and they are practicing their positive attitude. I wouldn't be able to put up a front like that, as I'm a very emotional person and when I feel something, everybody gets to know about it. Having said that, I've always admired people who can contain themselves in whatever situation they are. This person might be just like that and at home he/she is just the same.

Well, in all honesty, I'm pretty happy most of the time. I wasn't always and I had a lot of teenage angst years ago but now I find life mostly sweet.

That's not to say I don't have a moan sometimes but only really in front of certain people as they are the ones close to me, others don't really want to hear that.

In Japan this is called Mantura. Its nither good nor bad. They cover up proplems from there children or loved ones. They either have a domestic proplem or they are fighting but arent telling there children. In a good sense it is a way of keeping the children or loved one form harm in life.

yes, this occurs because of past feelings and emotions. for example, if someones mother had died when they were young there remaining family would try and make every thing normal again. this influences their later life for example, if they got fired they would act as if they were ok with it and look at a brighter future until the stress and grief is to much. they don't show there emotions publicly incase they are judged as instable.

People are weird Poopsy! The more you observe, listen and digest, the more suspicious you will become. But, yes you are right, they probably have a few bodies in their cellar (for eg.). People who need a front, need it for a reason. You have to ask yourself whether it is worth finding out or not....my advice, chill out, observe and be patient. Everything comes out sooner or later and I really do understand where you are coming from!
cheers..happy xmas
