Yes if the parachute is big and strong enough although I fail to see the connection between the contents of your question and the category in which it has been posted.

Much heavier weights have been parachuted from planes, I think the one of the biggest was a bulldozer. So yes it is possible to do it.
However a aeroplane is a complicated piece of equipment, and is very sensitive to weight and movement. A person walking from the back to the front of a passenger plane will have some effect on its trim. Fuel is regularly moved around the tanks to help with trim.
So having several tons stomping about the inside of a plane is not a very good idea. The elephant would need to be in some sort of container, and it would be a good idea to anaesthetise it. Of course this is inherently dangerous on its own.
Yes you could do it, but it would take a lot of resources to achieve something that appears pointless.

easily, thats if it had a huge parachute, that hasn't yet been invented with some crazy tchnological system...OR if it was an anorexic elephant, or maybe a baby one, it would ba teensy bit easier...who knows...no-one, that is who, unless someone did it, which incidently I think may be classed as animal cruelty...but i'd still be interested to see the result...

It could certainly be pushed from the plane and have the parachute open properly, but I wouldn't give much for its chances on landing!!!

The military regularly parachute jeeps, Humvees, trucks and even tanks. So, an elephand would be no problem with the right equipment.
