I love that song too. Makes me cry everytime I hear it! I LOVE Clarence Carter! his voice is so deep and yummy.
I WISH someone else would re-do it, but I doubt anyone could do as good as Clarence Carter.
If someone would remake it nowdays, they would probably try to rap it or something stupid like that. It would have to take a very darn good rapper to make it sound good in rap form.

Is that the song where a flood comes and destroys all the crops? If so I think George Jones sang it in the early sixties.
