Compared to other beings, the human is the only being that is intelligent.. they have the power to create rather than other animals that only have the instincs to crete their own homes, but we humans can think of new inventions, but instead of creating, most of our beings destroy rather than create...

Quite frankly, human beings aren't that unique at all. All living creatures on earth are able to survive through their own means, they don't need guns to kill, they don't need fire to cook and eat, and they certainly don't need a set of wheels to get from point A to point B. If you think about it, humans are horrible at adapting to new situations and environments, the only way humans can survive in a new environment is by changing the immediate surrounding, not adapting. After all, you don't see any camouflaging humans, unlike chameleons and octopus, two animals which both live on land and in water, two completely different environments. The only reason why humans are so "successful," if you want it to be in terms of contruction and civilization is because they solely rely on each other. Human babies are born into this world ready to learn from the parents and other humans, whereas not every animal in the wild need to rely, or even get any education from the parents. Some animals are born into this world already equipped with all the knowledge they need to survive. If you really look at humans, we really can't do anything special, we can't fly or swim for prolonged lengths of time, we can't climb, we don't have any type of defense/attacking mechanisms, no claws, no antlers, no horns, no nothing. All we have is our brains and some vocal chords to make some rather hideous noise. I would have to place humans in last place compared to other animals who are far more unique.

Please note how every smart human above my post has said that only humans are intelligent.
I beg to differ...
Any animal can survive in the wild without government laws to protect it or churches to tell it about God.
No human in 2006 would be able to survive in the wild without some kind of artificial help. Intelligent? I think not.
We do have two things which makes us more powerful than the animal world...but not necessarily more intelligent.
We have a bigger brain which permit us to learn a lot of things very fast. We sort of like a Pentium 4...while the animal world only has one of those 64Kb computers of the early 80's.
The second thing we have...are two hands...which permit us to do almost anything.
The sad part is that we use our brain and our hands for the sole purpose of self gratification. Not for the good of mankind, not for the good of nature,,,not for the good of the planet.

Good question .... set me thinking!
Being more intelligent or having bigger brain are all mere comparative degree of difference........ could make human the best but not unique.
What makes us unique is the ability to accept and take pains for a lofty purpose..... in the extreme even sacrifice our life willingly for a lofty purpose. This pinnacle of social living can never be reached by any other species!!

because human beings have the so-called higher or even the highest intellectual capacity among all other creatures...observe your environment..the living plants..the animals..most of them can't "think"..cant "speak" and can't "understand"..
thats why we are "over" them..or we are their stewards..
well..every creature is unique in its/his/her own way...the plants and the animals have their own uniqueness,too...why?because some or most of their activities are highly unique for them..we,,human beings cant fly like the birds..we cant live in the water for a long time like the fish..or we cant just eat uncook foods like them..right??
so human beings are not just the "unique" ones....even the nonliving things are unique..too..and that's simply because of our differences..
