Yesterday's dream if you think of all the advances that have helped humankind grow and learn, when those advances have been put to good use.
Yesterday's nightmare if you think how all those advances have helped us destroy one another or play at being God.

I would say it's 50/50 with humans.
Half the people are products of yesterdays dreams... in that they took the dream & made it a reality...
The other half are those who live in the shadows of all they fear....wallowing in the nightmare...

On really happy days, I would say yesterday's dream. On slightly pessimistic days I would say some of both.
Realistically- A very strong, interesting mix of both.
