when I feel that way, I give my self a time limit, then I try to help someone else with their problems.
at times I then find that my problems is simple compared to theirs.

If your problems are really severe, goto the local homeless shelter,

take a donation, even if its just your time
work with the people who's lives are at the bottom in society,
visit a hospital, encourage someone who is ill,
or the old folks home,

in helping them, it helps you.

its like a scab,
if you pick at it, it don't heal,
when you are busy with other stuff, it seems to heal faster, and goes away without you noticing it.

so, give your self something more important than you to focus on
its not instant, but it will help.

Its a bad cycle been there best thing i found set small goals every day even if just go for a walk.Finish so n so every time you complete a goal you will feel good about it let just keep setting them out a little more soon you'll be flying DON"T set unrealistic or hard gaols to start that's setting your self up for failure and more self pity fest.if you have a big goal break it into smaller bits that build into bigger picture.

My own personal recomendation is just go across the border in Baja California and go to the worst place, do not take taxi, just take the bus and see the people, try to communicate with them and see if you can help at least one person , listen to their story and you will see how furtunate you are.
If you are unable to travel go to skid road on Mission in Los Angeles and see the people there, try to volunteer for a couple of days to feed the homeless or just talk to a homeless person one of this days and listen to their story.BY HELPLING OTHER YOU HELP YOURSELF BECAUSE YOU STOP THINKING ABOUT YOURSELF PITY.

I WOULD STOP THE WAY I AM FEELING. ALL THE DEVIL IS DOING IS TRYING TO BEAT YOUR HEAD, HE WANTS YOU TO FEEL THAT WAY. ONLY ADVICE I CAN GIVE IS TO PRAY TO JESUS AND TO GET A RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM
