Most keystroke loggers are "hidden." That is, their files that are running are put out of sight so that anyone who CTRL-ALT-DEL's won't see one running on or under PROCESSES. This way the sheep (err, workers) don't know the boss is watching every word. However, there are programs that expose them, but putting these programs (or any program) on work computers are almost always frowned on, right?
You want Antispyware. : )

You are basically talking about a virus or trojan.
Best way is to download and ensure you constantly use an anti-virus product. This will then detect and alert you to any malicious software on your computer (and remove them!).
You will not be able to "access it", best advice is to ensure the computer is scanned, and any such programs eradicated asap.
Also, download a good personal firewall, to protect your computer from unauthorised access.... a very good one is ZoneAlarm, the FREE version (for personal use) can be downloaded here... http://www.zonelabs.com/store/content/home.jsp
