there is probably a little flap that keeps the gas from sloshing out of the tank on corners. if you take a long thin screwdriver and gently insert it down the outside of the hose into the gas hole. move it aroung the pipe gently while pulling on the hose. that may help you

DO NOT USE A "METAL" COAT HANGER!!!! Unless you really want to play Russian Roulette for a spark and blow it up.

First try to twist the hose out like a huge screw. Most anti-theft devices are nothing but a coilspring. If the hose is caught on the small flap for prevent leaded fuelpump nozzel from being inserted
try to insert a longer "plasic" knife or thin item to release the Unleaded flap.

if your inlet to your tank has a metal flap try putting a flat head screw driver in the hole . it sounds like the flap has wedge itself against the hose by putting the screw driver on the top part of the hose and insert it in the oppening it should release the flap so you can pull your hose out

This sounds like an anti-gas-theft problem. Can you slide a straightened coathanger wire down alongside the hose to release it?

Use a straightened wire coat hanger, slide it in above the hose to keep up the spring loaded flap. might take some fiddling but you should get it out.

if there's a flexible hose between tank and filler on body i would undo the hose clips on that and try to do something from there if there's enough room.
