I would rather work for the one that was fair, just, good humored, honest, skilled and accepting. Their gender identification means nothing to me. To ask me to discern between them, I would have to compare apples and oranges. They truth is, after 30 years of working, I have seen good and bad in both. The list I posed at the beginning, is the one I use to decide whom I will work for. I leave their sex out of it. It is a losing and biased game.

My experience tells me that it does not matter. In my career I have had two women and two men superiors. One woman and one man were great persons and great professionals, while other two were terrible in both senses. A sad thing is that the second two had lower educational degree than I had and it certainly affected our relations. They felt a kind of fear that I will leave the job or endanger their position. I felt very bad in such an atmosphere, very limited in realizing my ideas, so I quited the job.

The first two were very educated and experienced people, ready to help and support. They were a kind of ideal for me and my colleagues, making us work better and more responsible.

If anyone uses his or her sex to manipulate colleagues from his or her position, it is bad in both cases. Insisting on masculinity or femininity can shadow real human capacities.

Doesn't matter to me really (ie. this is a politically correct answer)

Personally though, I would prefer working for a guy. Half the time, a superior woman has absolutely zero compassion towards her workers.

So yeah, a guy would totally freak out when we have issues 'cause he doesn't know how to deal with them. Then, they'll give us leeways.

So there.

It doesn't matter. I've worked for both and it's really based on the individual.

It really doesn't matter. If you are a people person, you can get along with anyone. (most of the time)
