My new job requires 500 MHz processing speed. My CPU speed is 2.53 GHz, is this enough? HELP!!!

1GHz = 1000MHz
if processing power is in GHz then multiply with 1000 to get MHz and if in MHz then divide by 1000 to get GHz
it means u have 2530 MHz system.

Yes, it was way more than enough. 2.53 GHz coverts to 2,530 MHz, more than 5xs the amount nessesary. To convert MHz to GHz move the decimal back places. Now we see how 2.540 can be 2,540 M (a hundred thousand) being mega and G being giga (a million).

2.53 Ghz is more than enough. If you want to know the CPU usuage then press alt+ctrl+del key in case of xp, there select performance tab and execute your job. You will come to know teh work progress of CPU in %.....

i think ur new for comp field GHz is 1000 times greater than MHz

the answer to your question is your CPU = 2530Mhz and your job only requires a fraction of that (less than 25%)

1000Mhz = 1Ghz in CPU processors.
