Some people are "naturally hot" and tend to sweat long before the other people in a group start to sweat under hot conditions. This is also true in some people while eating. If you are a "naturally cold" person you will either over dress the baby or turn up the heating that degree or two higher to suit you and not necessarily the baby.

It can also be because the bottle is just too hot and it is the same as if you drink any hot beverage during a hot day.

Too give a good answer we need a bit more details on the age of the baby, what is the climate like at this stage, etc.

1)**Bottle teats generally comes in different sizes of holes... Amount of liquid that a baby takes every mouthful greatly depends on the age. If your baby is very young and if you are providing a bottle with very big hole, the baby will take the mouthful with struggle. This will cause sweating.
2)First of all check whether the baby is getting enough air supply. You might be holding him/her tight.
3) Sucking from the bottle is a bit more stressful that breast feeding. Especially if the baby is used to breast feeding. No need to worry; Baby will eventually get used to this.
4) If you do not live in a cold place, avoid heavy dresses on the baby while feeding.

My son is also fed on excluive expressed milk in a bottle, but I've never noticed him sweating (he's also 3 and half months). Could it be that when you're giving her the bottle she's becoming overheated from your body temp? Or are you heating the milk up too hot maybe? The temperature should leave no reaction when you drop a couple of drops on the inside of your wrist- if it feels warm to you then it's too hot for the baby.

They all do. It's hard work getting that milk out and all that sucking works up a sweat.

i asked the same thing once, and i felt stupid. LOL. it is just body heat. that little baby gets warmer faster than we do. unwrap her blanket a little, or set her on a pillow in your lap if you think she's really hot. that way, she's not pressed against your body. thats what i did with my daughter.

It's just the babies metabolism. Nothing to be concerned about but if it really bothers you, go see the doctor.
