make your own music buttonsMaterials:
cardboard discs from craft shop
pin backs
decoupage glue (you can save money and make this by mixing three parts white craft glue with 1 part water)
access to a computer and printer OR photos or paper and permanent markers
glue gun
Directions:Using a computer paint program, design a button face featuring the name or picture of your favorite band. Make sure the design will fit on the cardboard piece.
If you prefer to do it freehand, use markers to design your own button. Be sure to use permanent markers so the ink doesn't run in the next step.
When the design is complete, cut it out in the size and shape of the cardboard shape (this will serve as the button's back). Paste the paper with your design onto the cardboard circle using a little bit of decoupage glue. When it is affixed, use the decoupage glue to cover the face of the button. This will create a sturdy and shiny finish to your button.
As the decoupage glue dries, plug in the glue gun and wait for it to warm up. When the button is dry, use the glue gun to paste the pin onto the back of the button. After this glue dries, pin the button to your favorite bag or shirt to support your favorite band!
