I'm relatively healthy and I don't hate women that are a smaller size than I am. Being fat is a choice in most cases. You have to continuously pile on the calories and not exercise in order to maintain that size. I choose to be the size that I am because it's suits me. I used to get so tired of being harassed by doggish men constantly. Now it's not so bad and I get left alone more. So now what about fat men? Does your question of intimidation not include them?

Oh, I used to be thin, and I admire and am a little jealous the aesthetic beauty of women who either have the discipline or the genetics to maintain a lovely physique. But I don't hate them, unless they doll out someone Else's money for liposuction. 'Tho I am just fat enough to be polite and not wear spandex, I am very happy with my six foot tall, curvy in the right places, strong amazonian build. I would think that a few thin women might even hate me for that!

It depends on the fat person and his experiences. Some fat persons have life going well anyway. If I was fat and everything was allright I would not worry about being slim. Some fat people wish they could be slim, but would be happy for you as a slim friend. Some people who do not have simply turn around and hate those who have. That goes for fat people too I guess. Life is never as basic as it might seem. Not that it is difficult to figure - just complicated. But a complexity is merely many simple things commingled. It is hard to be generally correct on a question like this one. Peace.

Why would they? Everyone has their own personality. Who would want to look like Nicole Ritchie and have her problems. This is getting to be a major problem with the younger generation and they will do anything to be that way, including putting themselves in danger. Binging and purging. Hate is a harsh word to use, maybe they would like to lose weight, but they have the good sense to do it with common sense. And since "thin" is the best way to be. Look at all the skinny models, they look like skeletons with skin. As long as a woman takes care of herself, then being overweight is not that important.

It is natural that fat women may feel jealous about those thin women as long as the thin women are considered in good shape and seem to be more popular in our society.
But why do you think fat women have to hate thin women?

I think so I'm thin and get hateful stares.I notice them checking me out,( I'm not gay and I'm assuming most of them aren't either) It's even more annoying to them being tall( 5 8 1/2 barefoot ) AND slender

...i was fat...thin as soon as i went through puberty and that short period of time was bad enough...it was not that i hated them...just wanted to be like them...i cannot imagine how it would feel to stay overweight all your life..i have been lucky...good genes..NOT good living...but i do not feel that larger ladies 'hate' slimmer ones...maybe envious though...envy wanting what someone has...jealousy is not wanting them to have it in the first place...we are not born with bias and judgmental attitudes...we learn them...so let's teach our kids well, eh...happy hols...xxxx

I don't think so. I think big women are nicer than thin women. Big and beautiful is better.

Hate... whew, what a powerful word. We may envy their bodies, we may covet the attention they get... we may be angry at ourselves for not knowing how to achieve a fit phyisique, and that anger may sometimes get displaced.... but we do not hate.

No, not if you're happy in your own skin. And I'm sure it wouldn't be hate, maybe envy.
