The one you configure!
No one puts all the newest/ max everything into either a laptop or a desk top!
Go to Intel .com and look up their newest DUAL CORE Processor and see if they make a version of it for the desktop.
Then go to a computer parts retailer Directron.com, Newegg.com
or get a LAPTOP magazine an pick who you like.
Make sure that they allow you to customize your laptop.
Specify Intel's latest Dual-Core 64 bit processor, 2GB Ram, 256 MB video Card DDR2 0r DDR3, order the largest SATA hard drive at 7200RPM, VISTA, DVD writer/ Network ready, Camera and thumb print security, 17 or 19 inch screen.
Most laptop retailers will allow you to order that. You might want to add HDTV capability and a card reader. Buy an external USB
350GB hard drive and anything else you pocket and dreams will stand. No one has one sitting on the shelf like that. You just buy what you want.

Simple comparison: Laptops are portable, look good (generally) and are good for on the move people. Desktops will always be cheaper for the same spesification as a laptop and are generally more powerfull anyways. The desktops are cheaper becuase you dont have to spend more making everything small and emitt less heat. I would go for a desktop anyday but i play high spec games that need a powerfull machine.

Check out Alienware's top rated laptops. Also go to Sagernotebooks.com . They have Dual SLI graphics cards and the latest Core 2 Duo Intel chips. They run hot and they are heavy has hell, but they are pure mid range desktop replacements and great for gaming on the go.
