Do you mean actress? If so I wouldn't hide it from her, as I would never want more than friendship anyway!!
If you mean actor - I would tell him anyways as it is a part of me and all friendship should be based on honesty. If that meant we fell out, then so be it.

Laugh. Most people I meet assume I'm straight.
Hey, they're the ones making an @zz of themselves, not me!

um... let me get this straight... your favorite actress thinks you are straight? How odd... um I would bring it up casually, like a no big deal "wanna see a pic of my bf?" kind of way. But are you sure that she is your FAVORITE actress?

Damn - that's tough...

I guess I'd try not to bring up the topic, but if it did com e up I'd be honest about my homosexuality... Honesty is invariably the best choice in my experience.

When one lies about one's sexuality, things can get really horribly awkward...

Just my .01

I don't and probably never will have a favorite actress. I've never read "People" magazine and I don't have a fantasy life where ___________________ (insert starlet du jour here) is confused about my orientation.

So, I guess I don't know what I'd do....but I'm sure I would hate it.

Why should it matter unless you are trying to enter into a sexual relationship with them? If that's the case:
Assure whichever sex it was that I thought they were pretty special and wanted to be with them.

If you are gay, then you are gay. That's it. You should never be ashamed of who you are. If they can't respect you for being honest, then screw them! It's their problem. You can get a new favorite actor. :P Good luck hun
