i'm a retired farmer.i hired amish all the time.learned to have so much respect for them that,when i retired and moved to town,i left my farm in their care.it's in my will that it reverts to them upon my death.
sure they have friends outside the com.but, they tend to stay away from english customs,although they are getting more "free"shall we say with the things they now allow the young ones to do.they are very polite and extremely hardworking.

yes they can, no I haven't had one but I have known several people who did. They were respectful of their way of life when they visited their farm.

it is hard to tell anyone who NOT to be freinds with.
but the wickedness in the world is shunned by the most strict sects
