My vision for education is to move as much as possible out of the classroom into the outdoor environment.
I really feel that would benefit all those children who are kinaesthetic learners. Particularly boys and young children who just want to run around.
you can learn so much from the natural environment. Some of the original tools of the trade are rapidly disappearing and we have a responsibility to pass on these tools. i.e. how many people pick blackberries, raspberries fresh from the bush. How many children make mud castle's now.

I believe knowledge is in the outdoor environment. As long as children are practically (i mean practically dressed, not fluffy boots and pink fluffy coats) dressed then there is no reason for them to get cold.

Advice to a parent I believe would be to keep them busy, but remember that unstructured "play" is also very important. Nurture and encourage curiosity and use discovery learning to help and encourage them to find answers to questions is a profoundly important process, that underlies a lot of what they will study. Search also for interconnectedness. How does it all join and to what else is it related. I also totally agree with the other two answers.

education is knowledge you will take or knowledge which you will gain either in going to school or from friends who have experienced on the needed education or knowledge you will take and understand.
