I'm in BC's Central Fraser Valley. (about 150 miles from you) Right now the wind is blowing at a steady 55 mph. In another 2 hours we're forecast for hurricane force winds from the incoming storm you (and I) have been feeling all day and night. Western Vancouver Island is getting hit with 70 mph wind and 80 mph gusts right now, that's what we're expecting by 3 AM.
(Dunno why the power hasn't gone out yet.)

I live in South Dakota, and it was windy here today but not super windy. The wind really moves across the Plains. They build wind farms here.

I'm in Palos Verdes, California and it's not windy at all. Just as chill as a night usually is around here.
