She is weird looking, but Cab Calloway was one great musician and he orchestrated the sound track for her cartoons. In those days, when Mickey Mouse was just a stick figure, she was one hot item. And the cartoons were very sophisticated. It is part of the culture of those times, and she was the first "adult" cartoon. Way before the Simpsons, way before the Flintstones.
