to become a Mason one asks a known member of the Lodge you are interested in joining and ask for a petition. then you need to have two members of that Lodge sign the petition attesting to one's moral character. one fills out the petition and turns this in along with the required initiation fee. the petition is read in Lodge and voted upon to accept or reject this petition. once it is accepted then the Worshipful Master of the Lodge will appoint an investigating committee who will contact the applicant for a visit. the examination committee will report back to the Lodge and the members will vote to either accept or reject. once accepted by the Lodge the candidate is informed and arrangements are made for the candidate to take the degrees of Entered Apprentice - Fellow Craft and Master Mason. there are certain requirements a candidate must do once becoming an Entered Apprentice before advancing to the next degree. once a candidate is raised to the sublime degree of a Master Mason he can then wear Masonic Jewelry and be known as such. until the Master Mason degree he is not eligible to wear any Masonic jewelry. there are many who say the Masonic Fraternity is Satanic in nature but it is not so as my family has been affiliated in the various Masonic Bodies for years. there are many fine men in History not only the United States but throughout the World who have been and are Masons.

To be a masonic member or to be a mafia soldier you have to know somebody, be connected. In the masons you have to be invited to join, probably more or less the same in the mob.

You must talk about it infront of known members(which is very hard to find, but here's a hint - usually have a position in power or money, they could have a ring with compass and square) and then 2 members must suggest you join, then you get initiated and work your way up to the top - when you start you are told it's a christian religion, but when you get to 30th degree and higher, You worship a deitie called Jahbulon(google it) which is three demons in one. One is lucifer(their morining star). That is the why there is degrees, so lower levels can never find out what the next level is doing and so forth.
Just a warning, when you are initiated, you swear an oath of death if you leave.

The Freemasons allow anyone who believes in a higher power to be an active member (not necessarily the christian god). As for the Mafia... if you have to ask, then you aren't Mafia material.

masonic temples you have to have a sposor. father in law, father, grand father, uncle, cousin........ you also have to be 'religious', peroid. the whole basis is that you beielve in a 'god', a higher intelligence that controls the goings on. it dosn't matter if it is god, jesus, budah, just as long as it is a religion. second, you must be into higher education. Continuously. some states, you can enter if you are female, if not, you are better off checking into the Order of the Eastern Star, the female's organization, but even with that, you must have a sponsor in the Masonic Chapter in your area, or two male family members living or deceased that were in good standing with their lodge. Both women and men are allowed into the Order of the Eastern Star. Be careful to check out your local chaper very carefully, because there are psudo chapters, allowing anyone to join for a fee, and are out simply for the money that their members bring in.
