Yes, is it a good idea to buy actually pet food for your animal. Animals are living creatures the have nutritional needs. It is also an investment, because it will reduce vet bills and increase the life of you pet in the long run. A premium food is preferred, and will produce a healthier animal. A perfect example, of why cats needs commercial cat food is that in has taurine in it, which is vital to a cats system and they can not produce it themselves. If they do not have it they can go blind. I have worked with many animal rescues and have seen deformed, brittle bones know as "ricketts" due to not having proper nutrition. I own a pug and 2 cats and probably only spend $20 a month on their food a month. Better the food the less they will need too as it has less fillers, and they produce less waste which is a good thing.

Good pet owners buy food for dogs and cats or whatever they have.

I have a German Shepard spend about $30 a month on dry food.

I had the same problem recently and it's very very hard to get away from. I don't have many answers but I can tell you that I feed my dog Blue buffalo (Dry), but I have to order it online because no pet stores in my area carry it. It's not the absolute BEST, but it's the best I could find in my area, without having to pay and extra $50 for shipping from another state or something. It's not fair that there are so few options.

uhhhh... yeah.....

Some staple foods are good for cats and dogs... unlike the table scraps some give their animals..... Sometimes it's not good for their stomachs....

I don't spend much, myself.... Maybe 30.00..... but my 504 eats whatever I give him......
