No, but you wouldn't want to run it in that position. Let it sit for an hour before turning it on. But rest easy...it's not damaged.

There is oil in the unit that sits in an oil pan. When you don't have it right side up, the parts in the condenser won't be lubricated properly. It won't get damaged if it is turned upside down while handling, but it would if you tried to run it that way.

They are like a refrigerator, top side up, let it sit over night to make sure the oil in the system settles to the bottom.

NO this can cause problems with refridgerated ones also fridges but schuold not cause any problems with your window type as they are not refredgerated
