I tried to log in my router through the set up page and when I typed http://192.168.1.1 it does not allow me to acess the set up page.
My computer has no firewall enabled.

You should make sure that you have an ip address in the same range. If you have to, statically change your ip to 192.168.1.5 or something.
Also, it's probably best to configure your router while wired up through one of the ethernet ports in back.

If the default router ip address still wont work, you may have to reset it to factory defaults.

Do you have web access through the router or at least get an IP address from it when connected to it? If so, then someone could have changed the IP address of the router. You can try the command "ipconfig" and look for the gateway that you are connecting through or your IP address you are getting from it. Typically the router's address the same for the first two octets and .1.1 for the second two octets I've seen .2.1 for the last two octets as well. If you don't have web access through the router then the router could be messed up in some way.

Dear which linksys model are you using?
first of all reset the router using reset button, then it'll restart check the default ip in documentation for web access, then reconfigure it then at that instant check what default ip it has been set for the router and for improved security change the admin user id and password.......in short reset the router.
