It's not a horror film at all, it's suspense and yes, I quite like it.

Bad horror movie. Great suspense movie. Worth watching.
I've also seen the play it is based on.

Yes.
It has a great rating on imdb (http://imdb.com/title/tt0062467/) and I love it. Great classic Horror, well worth watching.
