Same problem I faced in my home... HIT, lak rekha, mortin etc etc.. does not help... Finally there are some Pest Control people specialized for this they have some liquid sprey.... 30 min job they charge 350Rs in bangalore. Just look for those people in ur place. But it is worty... If you are in flat system.. u have to be careful when others are using HIT or lak rekha they leave that flat and enter your flat.. when you use it goes and settles in next flat. ultimately in flats they won't die... just escape and come back after a day or two... If you are in Bangalore.. contact 9845021778 (Prasad)
additional information: Small ones live in cracks, joints, and small holes.. not in any where else.. remove all items in kitchen.. and spery in just window frame joints, door joints.. in the cracks in door to wall joints.. even if it is very small crack or hole u can find 10 - 50s living inside.. put white cement once in 6 months and fill the holes...

the small coackroaches or german cockroaches as they are called are very difficult to get rid of. I would suggest a complete pest control by any good pest control agency eg PCI repeat it every 3 months and then as a preventive measure maintain absolute cleanliness especially in the kitchen. cover your garbage bin or tie up the garbage bag and keep it outside the house every night, if you have used utensils in the sink after dinner at night then ensure that they are rinsed off...because the food particles attract more of cockroaches and trust me even a drop of milk or a morsel of food on the cooking platform can help feed and breed more roaches. in short your kitchen should be clean to the extent of looking clinical. repair cracks and crevices at home.
one word of advice: the gel used in pest control these days in reality is very effective but the companies are being commercial and using it in much lesser quantity than required and hence it may seem like they are not effective. so if you are calling a pest control agency which uses the gel, request them to use more than whatever they claim will be enough.

pest control seems to be a suitable solution. A new technique is used by the pest control guys which is odourless... a gel kinda thing is applied at various places of your home and also you don't have to pack all your things... the entire process takes not more than 1 hr

Boric acid, it is very effective when used properly for killing cockroaches and most other insects. You can also get a house lizard, they are natural enemies and will eat them. More information at http://tinyurl.com/ofxkk
