I was practicing a scene for a play all alone and in this scene there is a kiss. I pursed my lips and closed my eyes to pretend to do the kiss and I actually felt lips touch mine. It scared the crap out of me. What do you think happened? I would really like a logical explanation.

I'll give you the best explanation you can get.

The human brain cannot differentiate between reality and vivid imagination. Thus, if your imagination is good enough, the brain will think its real and send impulses and stimuli.

The point is, whatever you feel, smell, see, hear etc are not caused by external objects, but by your own brain.
When you touch something, the sensation of touching it is not caused by the object, it is a stimuli sent by your brain.
So, if you imagine something vivid enough, your brain automatically sends those stimuli making you feel that you have done it in reality.

Close your eyes and try this out:
Imagine a lemon in your hand. Imagine cutting it and taking one part in your hand. bring that hand close to your face and smell it. Imagine that you are eating that lemon..
If your imagination was vivid enough, you will smell the lemon and even get a sour taste in your mouth.
Thats the power of the human brain...

since all actors are crazy and the mind can make you believe things that aren't really there and see things that aren't really there you would be more subsceptible to this. as one who has taken acid and ecstasy the mind can definitely make what you described happen, and you don't necesarrilly even need the drugs, just concentration and the belief that it's happening. it sounds like you are a really good actor.

YES, and the result is you so-called REALITY! What you experienced is a visualisation, and every part of you believed in what you where doing hence it "felt" real. Don't be scared you do this in every living moment of your day...I guarentee your perceptions are different from anothers...........
