But haven't seen or spoken to him since then? Is it worth it or should I just forget about him and leave it all in the past. We were not really friends, but we did talk every once in a while.

There is something about texting that allows us to express our personalities to others in ways we don't normally feel comfortable doing in person. You may be able to spark a renewed interest from the person you want to contact by showing him a part of you he didn't get to see. And recievers of texts are always happy to be texted by someone. 'Text monsters' LIVE for it! And all of us like to be remembered and flattered by attention. But if you send texts many pages long and recieve a ONE WORD ANSWER, don't waste your time. Find someone else who would appreciate the contact. Good luck!

I guess it depends on the person. If you weren't even really friends 4 years ago, the other person might have even more going on in his life and not really be interested. If you're just writing to catch up and say hi, than that would be one thing, but don't expect it to go any further than one or two emails.

Yeah why not, he might enjoy hearing from you again. It's always nice to hear from people that you havent heared from in a while.
