I've been particpating in pageants for 4 years. I know many girls just to get ready for our states Miss Illinois America and Miss Illinois USA will have boob jobs, lipo, and other surgeries like lips tummy tucks. This is all very common and no one in the pageant community thinks twice. I've get lip injections for really big pageants but i would never have something done that would go away in a couple of months. Being a Pageant Queen is a business we practice, we work out, we study hard, and we get paid big cash when we win. To look better in a swim suit fake boobs is easier.

There's an influx of girls (men, too) undergoing plastic surgery. They go under the knife but a few won't admit they have. No one can accurately point out who has done it so l guess it's the same in a beauty contest. Only a few dare reveal.

There might be rules against it, but how can they prove that someone got plastic surgery? Open up their boobs and see if there are implants? Check their body for extra silicone? Look up their medical records? It would be pretty hard to control. They are normally looking for people with natural born beauty.

You may participate but if you're selected as Miss USA chances are you will need to return the crown because the concept of Beauty Pageants are for girls who are borned with natural beauties!

I have experience with modeling/pagents, but I don't think that rule was ever made solid. So I would check with the main event or coordinator and they can give you the accurate information.
