Hi! it is my would be husband's birthday tomorrow, I was planning to gift him an electric shaver of Philips, how good an idea is it? Also he uses the best and the costliest razor available Mach 3 by Gillette, so would the electric shaver be a better option, does it give closer shave. Also is it harmful to facial skin somehow?
How comfortable will it for him to use regularly? Please Advice.....

I have one of the newer Phillips shavers, and it gives me really bad razor burn. I have sensitive skin, and I am prone to razor burn with manual razors, but these electric razors actually left huge red welts on my throat. Most of my friends and family use them and have no problem, but if he has any problem with razor burn or anything like that, you might want to check with him first.

It is a Good Present!
Electric one comes handy when one is in traveling mode!
But there is nothing better then manual Shaver

Many other things needs to be checked!

My Personal Advice! Give anything that has utility also add love to it and that will be the best Gift!

I asked my husband this question and he said that it's a great idea to receive an electric shaver because it comes in handy but he said there's nothing better than a real shave. My husband said as long as his skin isn't sensitive, the electric razor is fine to you.

no no no, do not get a electric shaver period. they will never come close to a mach 3 or almost any manual shaver. if you want him smooth, he should stick with the manual. try another gift.

I think its a brillant gift idea! As for which type, I would say the non-electrical version for a closer shave.

It's really a matter of personal preferance. I use and electric shaver on my neck and a beard trimmer to keep my beard trimmed nicely. HO HO HO :)
