I know that alot of you are going to hate me for wanting to do this but I'm going to enter a beauty pageant in the summer. I'm 5'1" 113 lbs waist:24 hips:32 bust:33. I have long blondish layered hair, I have greenish aquaish eyes. I have pale skin. Mostly clear complexion. People say I'm pretty but I'm not so sure myself...
What should I do this winter and spring to prepare for this beauty pageant?

Practice Modeling everyday! When you walk out onstage walk with confidence, hold your head up straight and shoulders back! and for interview, they usualy ask you questions from your fact sheet that you feel out for the pageant, make sure you memorize everthing on it, they will sometimes ask random questions,, an example of some questions are, whose your role model? if you could have lunch with anyone, who would it be and why? why are you competeing in this pageant? why should you win this pageant? start reading your local newspaper everyday and get a notebook or folder to write down current events and study them over and over, you can find more sample interview questions at Justinrudd.com .... and as for the pageant attire, gown should be a full ballgown, and you can never go wrong with white! very age appropriate! i wouldnt do a fitted straight gown for your age, lots of girls are going to want to wear fitted and look older than they are but the judges will NOT like that! if your doing swimwear, i think 2 piece would be good, 2 piece will make you look longer onstage! ALSO! you should be learning to walk in your pageant shoes now! practice in them everyday! ive been competing for years and have always worn touch ups,,, you can order online at touchups.com or im sure you can find them in any pageant shoppe!!! GOODLUCK!

First - is it really a beauty pageant or are there other elements involved - talent, for instance, interviews? Make sure you know all the things on which you will be judged.

Know how to walk. Sounds silly, but if the emphasis is going to be on beauty, how you carry yourself and how you walk will be crucial, especially for someone of your height.

What outfits are you required to wear? Be careful in choosing the outfits, if you have choice, and be very careful about your hair, so that it complements the outfit, and shows you off to your best advantage.

What's your best feature? You seem to suggest it is your hair - then be sure it is in great shape and that you use it to the fullest advantage - for instance, a hair style that is up in a sweep for early modeling, and then comes down long and flowing for a dramatic conclusion in your last appearance.

Let me finish where I started - be sure you know all the elements on which you will be judged, and don't be shy to ask for local professional help, especially for basics like walking and turning.

Good luck!

With every day pass, our country is getting into more and more trouble. The inflation, unemployment and falling value of dollar are the main concern for our Government but authorities are just sleeping, they don’t want to face the fact. Media is also involve in it, they are force to stop showing the real economic situation to the people. I start getting more concern about my future as well as my family after watching the response of our Government for the people that affected by hurricane Katrina.

According to recent studies made by World Bank, the coming crisis will be far worse than initially predicted. So if you're already preparing for the crisis (or haven't started yet) make sure you watch this video at http://www.familysurvival.tv and discover the 4 BIG issues you'll have to deal with when the crisis hits, and how to solve them fast (before the disaster strikes your town!) without spending $1,000s on overrated items and useless survival books.

If you're not in shape, get in shape. Secondly, get a spray tan or start tanning so your fake tan isn't orange. Learn to enunciate when you talk and learn to answer quickly and smartly, write down the questions asked on the pagaents you've been watching and have a friends rad them to you in a random order and learn to answer on your toes. Also get some sort of teeth bleaching kit so your teeth are pearly white, and if you have any get rid of any acne. SkinID is amazing.

Keep your facial routine up, to keep a clear complexion, make sure o keep the weight off this holiday. Get lots of exercise, maybe try to do some tanning? But not fake lotions, etc. Judges can tell when someone with a pale skin is trying to tan with lotions, etc. A tanning salon or actual sun bathing is best for a more natural look. Keep up and watch the news! And make sure your aware of current events happening around town and world-wide!

Read all that you can about the current affairs be they within your town/states or worldwide. Usually, the organiser would ask questions like what would you do if you're tasked to convey the message to the world on global warming, etc... Get enough rest, eat sensible and be articulate. Good luck!
