I'm doing the Jane Schaeffer way- so I'll need some ways to stop and how it could prevent it .

Well....a couple of things
1. Make the football team pay to refinish the walls each and every time it occurs.....someone knows who is doing it and the football team could gently convince them to see the error of their ways.
2. Suspend one optional school activity every time this occurs.
3. Go to a strict uniform policy..have a shakedown inspection at zero hour...to ensure that no items capable of being used to draw graffiti are being transported to the school
4. Eliminate the art classes and replace them with physical activity,,,,forced marching would be nice...to martial music....the uniforms could have nice arms bands with the school icon on them....this was tried in the 1930s successfully in one European country when the liberal republic was denouced and replaced with a popularly elected socialist party.

well, I would give ways for these kids to vent their frustrations and artistic ability. Sadly, it is mostly the poorer kids that do graffiti, but thinking of it in a positive way could lead to some kind of artistic outlet. If it's just writing on the bathroom walls, then make some kind of policy that if anyone gets caught doing it they have to clean the bathrooms for a week.

Plant some ivy in front of the wall. Even if they paint the plant it will naturally grow over.

I would think that surveillance cameras posted in strategic places and recorded into a recorder would work OK.
