Some names to throw out for discussion include (but not limited to): Steve Slaton (HB/ West Virginia) So. --- Darren McFadden (HB/ Arkansas) So. --- JaMarcus Russel (QB/ LSU) Jr. --- James Lauranitis (LB/ Ohio State) So. --- Colt Brennan (QB/ Hawi'i) Jr. --- Ray Rice (RB/ Rutgers) So. --- Ian Johnson (RB/ Boise State) So. --- Michael Hart (RB/ Michigan) Jr.

My pick is Slaton - I even have them picked to go to the national title game next year against LSU. I like WVU better but I think LSU is more complete and will win the championship in 2007.

Your thoughts?

Way to early to tell, but Slaton and McFadden would have to be frontrunners.

I'd have to agree and say if Peterson returns and stays healthy, hes a shoe-in....if not, I like either Slaton (hes just too nasty) or Ray Rice...I don't think McFadden will have quite as good of a year...I'll tell you who won't win it, Lauranitis (overrated) or Brennan

I'd have to say McFadden, but Russel could very well pull it off. Heisman voters tend to reward a great qb his senior year even if the numbers aren't there, as long as the team does well.
(i.e. see Troy Smith)

If Adrian Peterson can stay healthy for a full season he will win the heisman he should have about 3 of them already if he could have played 3 full years

mike hart hes a senior and he has an all american offensive tackle returning next year and he hasn't fumbled in 2 years. he also has a great quaterback and wide recivers that can spread the feild. it's not often a junior wins the heisman.

I think Tebow might surprise people. But he wont win it. No doubt in my mind Darren McFadden wins it. If he doesnt leave.
