Can any one give me an example of the oppisite of genocide. Or at least something that has effected society as a whole in a positive way in the last 100 years. In these times it seem that everything we focus on has a negitive quality, And if one really bad thing can have a negative effect, I believe one good thing can have a really positive one. Sometime it just seems the positive ones are hard to find, and not easily remembered. So remind me.

This one had me scratching my head....opposite to killing lots of people?? Well I guess it has to be something that actually saves or brings life to a whole lot of people..
How about vaccines for measles/chicken pox etc.. which were killers in their time?
or Marie Curie
anything that is not just positive, but actually promotes life rather than taking it away. I think there is a lot we take for granted now that used to kill previous generations, have a look at any medical descoveries over the last 100 years - what about the cure rate for breast cancer when caught early, the lives saved by smear tests, the blood donation programme, oohh I'm on a roll...stop me please!
Hope this helps, I'm going for a lie down now!
