Look North, and if you see it congrats! I usually can't see it and I am just a lil North and East of you, unless I go to Wisconsin. Too much light pollution.
Did you see the meterorite at about 9PM tonight?

Maybe if there are especially alot of negative ions in the air from solar bursts otherwise you got to go up to Elgin. When you get up to Elgin first stop at El Faros for a real Mexican Burrito becasue we all know that Aurora Illinois has no Mexicans living there. Next go to the tower building and go up all thirteen floors. Get out and look north. If this doesn;t work proceed on to Dundee.

Look to the north... My son and I were driving northbound looking for the lights but because we are in an urban area and there are so many artificial lights we couldn't see them.....We got a bonus though! We saw a shooting star! Oh, we are just outside of Detroit Michigan.

If visible, in the north. But Aurora is too far south for them to be visible very often.

the northern lights is caused by the sun sending a solar storm towards the earth, then the earths magnetic field protects us, the magnetic field is failing though. there are also many other wierd things happening. now you can see the northern lights in california. you can mostly see it in alaska though, my cousin is from there. he says its really great there, i want to go to a school like his.

Can't, you need to get out of the city. The metropolitan area's ambient light blocks out many stars and constellations.

Try getting in your car and driving out to a small rural area. Get out of your car and look to the north.
