I am not a consultant but I want to say that some nervousness is okay....and it will dissipate with experience. You will learn really fast with every customer. Just prepare well, do your research, get to know your products as much as you can and do your best with the person. Think about if you were the customer, what kind of service/interaction would make you most satisfied. If a customer asks a question and you don't know the answer, don't panic...just tell them you will get back with them. As you go along with each and every customer, certain questions will form in your mind. Make a list of all those questions as and when they come up, and get them answered from whoever u report to. In no time, you will be an expert. All the very best. Have fun while doing it. That way, it doesn't get too stressful.

I was a Mary Kay consultant, but I just sent all my inventory back. lol!
Be consistent. Always be looking for opportunities to earn business. Keep track of what you are spending and making (that was my downfall, I never kept track of anything)
Go to unit meetings. Know the product completely. Check out other brands as well so you can compare Mary Kay to whatever is popular to gain business.
I wish you the best my dear! Mary Kay is a wonderful experience. Very hard work, but worth it!

First things first. DO NOT LET YOURSELF GET OVERWHELMED or psych yourself out. the best thing is to make a simple list of a weekly goal and a monthly goal. A common recommendation is 30 faces in 30 days. Again, don't let this scare you. This will build your client base tremendously! Plus, one skincare class could knock out 5 faces!
When making a list of your goals, you need to know exactly what you want out of your MK business. Are you doing this to become a director and have a career? Earn a free car? Make a little extra money? Or, make friends, get the discount and dabble in it? Once you know this, you will feel much more at ease. Then just do everything on a day to day basis. How many people do you want to warm-chatter today? Or, do you need to call a couple people?
Make sure you are signed up for a website and sign up for your 15 free beauty books to be mailed out. Read 'Learn MK' on the marykayintouch website. Go to meetings. If your recruiter is not in your area, she or your director can find you an Adoptee director. I have an adoptee director and she has been SO good to me! Good luck!
Email me anytime for anything I have tons of info!!
