Some Catholics do still see Adam and Eve's actions as the reason why we are punished now and live in perpetual original sin, but once you factor in the whole story being unbelievable from the start, then there's truly nothing to worry about, is there?

It is sometimes hard to forgive is true, whether you're religious or not, so that gets a little more kudos, I think....

ok so one component is you do not blame God it was once their mistake. If it became in simple terms Eve, God might've in simple terms made another woman yet because of the reality that Eve got here from Adam and Adam ate the fruit as stable he extra on sin to flow into all his offspring. He chosen to sin against God. So for this reason all of us inherit sin. it extremely is the fast explanation. you're able to examine the full tale in Genesis. they had the full component and that they messed it up. And weren't somewhat being punished we've in simple terms inherited what have been given surpassed down. Like a affliction. we've been presupposed to be suitable although weren't. And we don't quickly bypass to heaven. If we did then Adam and Eve don't have been placed on earth so because it extremely is the place we are purported to be in basic terms we have been meant to stay endlessly right here on earth. i'm hoping this facilitates extremely. it may likely look complicated although whilst you have an comprehend-how of it extremely is rather effective.

I dont see it as god holding a grudge. He had warned adam and eve that if they ate of the tree of life they would become imperfect and die. They were warned ahead of time. Years later he gave his son for us so that we could be forgiven. If he forgives us then he doesnt hold a grudge against us.

We aren't being punished we are already saved you me everyone. You have Jesus to thank for that whether you believe in him or not. The only punishment we get from now until Judgement day is simply the byproduct of our human existance.

We punish ourselves as much or even worse than God ever did in the past.

We're not being punished. If you feel that way then maybe you need to look at where your relationship with God is. He is not out to get you or punish you. Pray. Get saved. Baptism. Do all you can to improve and strengthen your relationship with God. It will be the best choice you will ever make.

We are being punished for our own sins not for Adams transgression.

We learn that we are judged by Jesus Christ based on our own deeds and works in the following scriptures, John 5:29-30, Revelation 20:12-13, and Matthew 16:27. While Adam and Eve transgressed the law, it was their transgression. We may be in the mortal world separated from God's presence, but we are not held accountable for Adam's decision. In Moses 6:54 we learn, " . . . the Son of God hath atoned for original guilt, wherein the sins of the parents cannot be answered upon the heads of the children, for they are whole from the foundation of the world." The basic message of the Second Article of Faith is that we are all individually judged for our own works. We will merit reward or suffer punishment according to our own decisions and our own choices. We were all given free agency to choose the good or choose the evil. It is by our own choices that we enjoy the fruits of those decisions. We are not held accountable for anyone else's decisions, nor are we punished or rewarded for someone else's choices.
We choose for ourselves and we enjoy or suffer the consequences for those choices. "And it is given unto them to know good from evil; wherefore they are agents unto themselves . . ." (Moses 6:56).

The Book of Moses and the Book of Nephi are among ancient scriptures that have been restored to us by the Lord in these last days.

If you were god would u punish yourself... There are a lot of theological problems with sin, but basically the rules that apply to mortals don't apply to god.

Had never thought of it this way. Used to be religious but when these kind of questions came up the minister always said it was blasphemy. Very good one and right on the money. I will be thinking about this for a while,

I'm not being punished...I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior. Maybe if you did the same, you wouldn't feel so "punished."
