The 1st one. Leaning on a lectern shows that the person lacks foundation or confidence in what he is presenting. (Therefore using the lectern as a "foundation" to support himself). There is of course the occassional excuse of being tired and all...but unless you're a really really passionate speaker...that never happens.

1. Relax and use the lectern to lean on is definately not a good example of the nonverbal communications that you may use. I am in speech class, and just got done learning about non verbal. And I just had a 9 weeks exam today about it.
