pinpoint my problem could it possibly be the ignition switches

Check for switched power at the starter.Either on starter solenoid or could be a firewall/fender mounted unit.Make sure you are getting power to the starter first.You could also have a voltage drop across the main starter cable.Test by using a voltmeter and setting to dc 20volts.One end on battery positive and other end on stater side.Have someone try to crank and read meter.O-0.5Volts good.0.6-12v bad.repair or replace cable and try again.

get a diagnostic test on it to determine specific problem and part that needs replaced.
