clue as to what it takes?

I hear so many armchair quarterbacks who have never been there trying to tell business owners like me how to run my business.

For example, raising the minimum wage causes jobs to be lost. Most small businesses cannot absorb the forced increase in wages. They have to either cut staff or raise prices. People do not get this. There is a cause and effect. If the job was worth more, it would pay more.

They are not really telling business owners anything - it is always just spin and publicity to self promote for the next election. All they throw out are glittering generalities of glorious possibilities for the underpriviledged without any logical basis in reality. A base minimum yearly wage for all, healthcare for all whether they can afford it or not, raise taxes on the "rich" while freeing the "poor" from any taxation, increase spending in all areas of education, open the borders to all who would wish to live here, (and why not set them up with a house, car, and free money to live for a few years too) , and by all means lets protect our wilderness regions from the ravages of the nasty oil companies and increase our dependancy on importing and buying from the most unstable and yet the wealthiest regions of the world.

Do you think ANY of these liberal mouthpieces have any touch with reality any more? Do you think they really CARE about anyone but themselves and their political careers? Do you think a single one of them would pull their limo over to the side of the road and physically help a truly impoverished, down and out, truly needy person? (Hard to see out of the smoked glass in those "ivory towers") The biggest hypocrites in the world.

Liberal politicians want to raise the minimum wage because that is what their base wants. That is also what the unions want so they can negotiate higher contracts.

Liberals want nothing to do with small business, or any story of personal success. They could care less if they put small businesses out of business, that just means they have more people to control and take care of.

Anyone who has ever had an economics class knows that it is bad. It is not a hard concept to grasp, but you have to keep in mind that these politicians are trying to get votes, not help the country.

oh yes, no liberal has ever ran a business...

if you can't afford a small raise in pay to the few you're barely paying anyway, then you're the one that doesn't know anything about running a business... that much is pretty obvious...

but yes, those who don't know how to run businesses may have to trim a few jobs, but they are probably going under anyway in a few months, so does it really matter?

if businesses payed what a job was worth, no one would have ever thought of socialism or unions... there wouldn't have ever been a need...

businesses pay what they can get away with paying, for most it has little to do with "worth" and more to do with "how can I make more money"...

Well when my boss tells me he can't afford to give me a raise and drives up the next day in a corvette after having had plastic surgery so he had a better chance at buying a wife from the Philippines I kind of wonder if he really can't afford to give me a raise because business is down, or if he can't give me a raise because he blew it on cocaine.

The reason liberals want to increase minimum wage is because two working adults living outside of there parents home can't live in today's world on minimum wage.

By the way if your business can't afford to pay someone more than minimum wage in this market I recommend selling it to the nearest stupid person you can find because it is failing.

If there were not excessive immigration, there would be more pressure on wages, supply and demand. Then wages would not need to be artificially raised. Politicians usually are thinking of themselves first, not you. They are concerned with votes.

Simple.

If U cannot pay properly, U should not be allowed to exploit others for your benefit.

It would be good for the economy if exploiters who cannot complete make room for those who can. Free market system.

I would rather have 1 company that threats worker fairly than 100 exploiters.

Darwin's theory - If U not good enough to PAY U not good enough to play.
